Who is the Course/Module intended for?

The Module is set at an introductory level and is intended for newly qualified staff, those new in post and those with little experience of child protection.

 

What will the Course give you?

• Help develop an awareness of the signs, symptoms and definitions of child abuse and neglect.
• An awareness of the factors you should consider when making a judgement about when a child is 'in need' and/or at risk of significant harm.

What will you be able to do at the end of the training?

• Have a working knowledge of the signs, symptoms and definitions of child abuse and neglect.
• Understand the factors that could lead a child to be seen in need of services, or at risk of harm.
