Self Harming - Impact, Management and Child Protection Issues

 

Who is the Course/Module intended for?

Professionals who are working with children and young people who have been or are currently involved in self harming behaviour.

 

What will the Course give you?

• A greater confidence in the management of young people who self harm.
• An understanding of identification, risk indicators and causation.
• A knowledge of the process of managing young people at risk.
• An understanding of the role of parents in understanding causation and undertaking ongoing management.

What will you be able to do at the end of the training?

• Identify indicators of risk and undertake a risk assessment.
• Know how to assess and access appropriate support.
