Safeguarding and Child Protection Training

Who is the Course/Module intended for?

Professionals working with children and families and who are required to write and keep records.

What will the Course give you?

Knowledge about recording and what constitutes a record in Children's Services that shows children and young people who have different levels and types of need
Knowledge for identifying some common pitfalls in recording and strategies for dealing with each pitfall including tools to enable Practitioners to audit own recording

What will you be able to do at the end of the training?

Demonstrate recording skills and knowledge of the legal framework for recording
Demonstrate good practice through reflection, analysing, planning and working in partnership with children and their families/carers
Know how to produce a documented account of an agency's involvement with the child and the family/carers which assists continuity when professionals are unavailable or change
Provide evidence for planning and allocating resources at an individual and strategic level; including recording to demonstrate that the Practitioner and agency have met the expected standards of social care
Effective use of supervision and continuous professional development
