Intermediate Level -Fabricated Illness

 

Who is the Course/Module intended for?

Professionals with child protection responsibilities who may work with fabricated illness.

 

What will the Course give you?

• An awareness of the nature of fabricated illness.
• An understanding of the process in order to support intervention.
• Confidence in your role as a professional working with fabricated illness.
• The opportunity to explore the continuum of fabricated illness.
• An awareness of the dilemmas in working with the family.

What will you be able to do at the end of the training?

• Identify and manage risk with suspected fabricated illness.
• Know how to plan intervention based on guidance.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the concept of evidence-based practice and measuring outcomes.
• Have the skills required to work with the family.
• Demonstrate an understanding of multi-agency working and information sharing.
