John has ten years experience of working in the Criminal Justice field. He is an experienced Practitioner and Trainer. He has delivered training for the Youth Justice Board and Post Qualifying Training for Social Work Practitioners.
Donna has sixteen years experience as a child care Social Worker in Local Authorities and at present works as a manager for the Fostering and Adoption Team at the London Borough of Redbridge. She is an experienced Practice Teacher for Social Work Students and a Mentor for Social Workers undertaking post qualifying training.
John is a Solicitor in private practice. He is a member of the Child Care Panel. Much of his time is spent representing family members and Children's Guardians in care proceedings. He has worked as a Local Authority Child Care Solicitor.
Margaret has written extensively on abuse of disabled children. She is a Social Worker and is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Adult Protection.
Mike has extensive experience of work with children and families as a Social Worker and Senior in a range of statutory settings. He has several years experience as a Children and Families/LSCB Training Consultant and Manager in a Local Authority and has recently become an Independent Trainer and Consultant. Mike's recent clients include Practitioners and Managers in Health, Social Services and the Voluntary Sector.
Tammy Tawadros is a Qualified Social Worker and Approved Social Worker with many years experience of working in Mental Health. A qualified training and development professional, she has particular interest in Mental Health issues as they affect parents and young people. Tammy has designed and delivered training on a range of Mental Health matters to staff and Managers in the Voluntary, Health, Social Care and Education sectors.
Patsy has worked in Social Care since 1980. During this period, she has worked in a variety of residential units. Since qualifying in 1985, Patsy has worked in Social Work teams in Sheffield, London and Barnsley, where she has undertaken posts as a G.P. attached Social Worker, Fostering and Adoption Worker and as a Principal Social Worker. Patsy has worked hard to promote staff morale and explore ways of embracing the many and essential changes for service users, organisations and staff.
Wendy has worked in a number of Authorities as a Social Work Practitioner and Manager and also spent one year on secondment to the Department of Health as a Social Services Inspector. In this role, she took the lead on Part Eight Case Reviews (the process to be followed following a child death). She has run her own company since 1994 and in this time, was invited by the Tavistock Clinic to become an Honorary Tutor on the Masters Degree Course in Family Support and Child Protection. She has accumulated a wide experience in the field of service development, of a range of multi-disciplinary professional environments and from a diversity of perspectives.
